It was a night of extravaganza, a night of star-spangled red carpet at the London Coliseum on 1 December, 2014, for it was one of the most highly anticipated event of the year. The evening of BRITISH FASHION AWARDS exuded a distinct savoir flaire acknowledging the fashionably steller talents of the British Fashion Industry. From the best of designers to photographers, models, stylists and other creative minds of the Fashion Industry, it was a mesmerizing sight on the red carpet of the British Fashion Awards.
British Fashion Awards 2014 honored the finest of the crème de la crème crowd, who befittingly deserved the awards.
To begin with, Anna Wintour , one of the most influential authority of today’s Fashion was revered with the OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD for her equally outstanding contribution to the fashion industry. Dressed impeccably in Maison Martin Margielo by John Galliano, she indeed proved the fashion maestro within her.
CHRIS MOORE was awarded the Special Recognition Award for his unmatchable six-decade’s exceptional career in the Fashion Industry! (That’s a really long time)
The legendary ALEXANDER MCQUEEN was awarded with the best RED CARPET DESIGNER award, for creating global awareness of their designs in the media.
LOUIS VUITTON was granted with the CREATIVE CAMPAIGN AWARD, for creating the most innovative and dynamic campaign last year. Who would have been more eligible than LV!!
VICTORIA BECKHAM’s stand-alone British based brand scored the BRAND OF THE YEARAWARD, for her brand made a huge impact on the fashion lines with global distribution, multiple stores, e-commerce portals and campaigns. The lady Beckham sported her Brand’s signature style on the red carpet, and she looked oh-so-wonderful!! Sure did she come a long, long way from the era of Spice girls dressing room!
Next on the Big List , is our favorite EMMA WATSON, dressed in her signature androgynous look in Misha Nonoo jumpsuit with a blazer and an Anya Hindmarch clutch. She was bestowed with BRITISH STYLE AWARD. Who doesn’t get inspired by her dressing abilities. Young and inspiring Emma truly deserves the award.
P.S. It was the only award decided by public.
No guesses required, for it is an affirmation of the winner of BEST MODEL AWARD. We’ve seen this chirpy chic almost everywhere from Chanel shows, to Topshop . Yes indeed, CARA DELEVINGNE is no hidden name and she owns the award like no other. Spotted in thigh high splitted Burberry Gown and Louboutin heels, she was one of the top best dressed attendees.
Some of the other conquering heroes of the night were Marques Almeida, Craig Green , Prism in the Emerging Designers category ; Nicholas Ghasquiere for Louis Vuitton , Simone Rocha, Preen , Anya Hindmarch, J.W. Anderson, and Erdem in their respective Designer categories. Edward Enninful was awarded with the prestigious ISABELLA BLOW AWARD for Fashion Creator.
Alongside, the event also showcased the best of outfits we’ve ever seen. We are going gaga over these immaculate and nonpareil ensembles.
ALEXA CHUNG :
Her trend for prim and proper red carpet dressing was clearly visible as she carried her Emilia Wickstead dress with an air. We adore the way she paired the Charlotte Olympia takeaway style box. So elite and classy!
We still wonder how can one carry this slit ball gown skirt with so much perfection in a colour as adorable as the wearer herself. Olivia, in Emilia Wickstead added a cool, refined statement, with the animal print clutch and sparkly black top. 10/10.
Rihanna, yet again, proves that she is the sui generis in the clan of fashion. We are still dizzy by the fact on how she carried only A BLAZER (Stella McCartney) with a splendid demeanor. The icing on the cake was the way a diamond choker was paired to the blazer.
Karlie Kloss, Tamsin Egerton , Michelle Dockery , Harry Styles and Laura Bailey are also equal winners of the Terrific best dressed list.
We are enough awe-inspired by this exquisite aura of fashion display and can’t get over it. Such style and such perfection! A Big Congratulations to the winners. Applause.
