While, with a multitude of food trends, everyone keeps on trying various things to maintain a perfect body weight and stay healthy, Shilpa and Luke suggests the whole nation not to look and search far, wide and west, because India has a lot more to provide.

The book clearly mentions that every food form is according to the area you live in and hence keeping up with foreign food trends wouldn’t be as effective as the food grown locally in India. The Great Indian Diet will also open your eyes towards various food and health myths. For example, Bananas can be a source of a healthy weight loss process! Isn’t it fascinating to know since Bananas have always been associated with weight gain. Along with maintaining weight, Indian foods and spices can be a cure for diseases as huge as cancer too, thanks to the anti-oxidants present in them, which we were unaware of.
